Hi, i recently played counter-strike:GO and for some reason when we changed to the map nuke my CS gave the error that the file of that map didnt match the server's so i tried reconnecting and it didn't work. I then tried 'verify integrity of game cache” and there was 1 corrupted file so steam began downloading the file. It stopped downloading at 99% so i clicked the play button wich pops up a screan where you can see how much still needs to be downloaded and installed.
Once you have made it into the final menu listed, tap on the iOS update and select “Delete Update.” Go back to Settings and select General followed by Software Update to try installing the update again. Manually Update. If you have iTunes on your computer, you can manually update your device.
When it was almost complete it gave the error: an error occured while updating Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (corrupt update files). I tried quiting steam, deleting all files in the steam map except steam.exe, steamapps, and userdata and it didn’t work. I tried it combined with “delete local content” from CS:GO. Thanks for help in advance:).
Just thought people should know i fixed this error with one of the following solutions (reinstalling the game completely and deleting any leftover files did not work on its own) - uninstalling avast antivirus - ensuring full permissions were allowed for editing of the /csgo directory - deleting the appcache folder in program files/steam - running steam as administrator. reinstalling the game after all of the above i have a feeling there may have been some interference on the part of the anti-virus here so if you have an anti-virus, specifically avast, try uninstalling that for the duration of the game update and then reinstalling it afterwards if it fixes the problem. I had this problem for the last day or so and the issue is steam and their delivery network sending you corrupt data, How or why I don't know. To resolve this issue you'll need to be patient but I'm sure it will work - none of the other fixes worked for me. Did i need to unistal steam and csgo? GUYS PLEASE READ - IT'S A SOLUTION YOU'RE LOOKING FOR.
Download the game and if get error of corrupted files, do this: 1. Go to your downloading folder (Steam / SteamApps / Downloading) 2. Open the folder called 730 3.
Folder directxinstaller - execute the setup. (it's gonna take a while) 4.
Copy the content of folder 730 and paste to Steam / SteamApps / Common / Counter Strike Global Offensive folder (if not have this folder with this name, create a new one) 4. Your installation of directx must be already be done at this point, so you can now start your game from steam normally, directx will install again, wait. If you want to, restart your computer before start the game. I grab this info from users on this and others topics and mixed. Thanks to and sorry about my poor english:).
